Agent Antics

Unbeknownst to most, I recently sent some of my stuff to an agent only to be rebuffed politely. I've been told to get used to this, as the publishing world can be rather difficult on newcomers - especially those who write light verse. I threw in some illustrations for the firm to peruse, yet my sketches are not what one would call "museum quality."

Am I deterred? No way. Am I saddened? Not a chance. Where are my car keys? No clue.

Hello and welcome to Wonderwoods.

My name is David Bruno and I write and illustrate stories and poems for children of all ages. For the past few years, I've amassed a collection of light verse and accompanying illustrations. This blog will serve as the online home of my work and you will find written and illustrated samples throughout.

Initially, I created these pieces to entertain family and friends. I was shocked when people other than my mother encouraged me to pursue a broader audience for my work. Hopefully, you will find as much joy in reading these pieces as I have in writing them.
